There is a rev limiter for if the parking brake is engaged which can be bypassed by splicing the two wires together that go to the parking brake lever. The only other is a high-rev limiter in the CDI box to keep from over-revving the engine, that can only be bypassed by a performance CDI box.

well i noticed that there is a small thing with two wires comming out of it. it's next to the clutch adjustment on the handlebar. the prob. is the wires have been cut off.... is this what your are reffering to? also i've had it wide open and it does hit any kind of limit. and i can rev it pretty high up in rpms.....

mine doesnt have a rev limiter, it just floats the valves if revved to high.

It does, its just so high you will never hit it without some serious mods to prevent valvefloat. I've never bounced mine off the high rev limiter with the stock or Dynatek CDI.

Splice those two wires together and you should be fine.
No rev limiter on warriors except for that park brake bs.

ive heard mine float the valves before, but its never hit a rev limiter either, so the rev limiter kicks in at an area that you cant reach on the warrior? lol, thats kinda weird, that basically means it doesnt have one imo,or at least it wont ever use it, then when the valves float i dont see u being able to increase the rpms any more after they float because then **** will start flying apart, it only floats the valves on mine if im just sitting in neutral and keep advancing up the rpms and then u can hear it float the valves but ive only done that maybe twice, not a healthy thing to do.

thats funny because i have hit the rev limiter on mine before i put the high compression piston in. since i put the piston in i have yet to hit it.

This is weird because I'm pretty sure mine doesn't have a rev limiter either. I have rev'd it high enough that if it had one it should have kicked in. I have never made the valves float but I have come pretty close a few times racing when I went to shift to the next gear and went into like a "false" neutral. Definitely no rev limiter there!

I may be wrong...but I thought I read somewhere the earlier (pre-mid90's) warriors do not have a rev limiter?... I don't believe my '88 does.
