New Carb for warrior?
#11
These are all good tips, as I just went through this with my warrior. Sounds like your issue is most definately fixable and a new carb is not necessary. Plus, like 91warrior357 said, an aftermarket one is not cheap.
Another good tip - get yourself a Cylmer manual. It has a whole section on the carb with easy instructions and good pics. If your a novice to carbs (like I was) it will be the best $25-30 you will probably spend on the quad.

I already have a repair manual.
I cleaned the carb the atv seems to start better but it is still leaking gas. The floats had gunk built up on them but i got rid of all that what else could cause it to leak?
I did see where a gasket needs to be replaced and a o ring type thing.

What do you mean by gas is leaking? Is it leaking if you leave it overnight or you can see a drip at all times?
I'm gonna reiterate you do not need a new carb so pass on this guy trying to make a quick buck off of you without giving any advice. MAYBE a rebuild kit that comes with new gaskets etc, which you can pick up at your local dealer or online for under $20.

You should be turning the fuel petcock off when you are not riding. It is fairly common to have a drip or leak if you leave it overnight. Mine will drip some from the bowl overflow if I leave the valve open even.

edelbrock makes a pretty nice carb for the warrior but there not cheap around $400, if you have a few mods they respond real well to it otherwise if your bike is near stock you wont get that much of a performance gain to it, just nice throttle response and east starting, ive seen people fit z400 carbs on warriors also, with a raptor350 intake boot it will bolt right up but you have to change a few things, the warriors carbs can be a real pain to tune right.
what else is needed to put a z400 carb on a warrior? I am interested in this, shouldn't be to expensive to do should it?

mmm damn im tryin to remember, you need the raptor 350 intake manifold piece in order for the z400 carb to hook up, and i cant remember if you need the raptor 350 throttle cable or a z400 throttle cable, and your warrior carb to airbox boot will have to be stretched, other wise its not gonna be able to reach the airbox, i think people do this by heating it up and slowly stretching it, also it will need to be rejetted, i think theres a sticky on this at yfm350.proboards.com
