Default Is a Blaster a project for a beginner???

Looking at getting a 91 blaster that will not run... low compression but not blown..... It ran last fall will not start now but will turn over fine...

I have never rebuilt an engine before but have lots of time and some mechanical skills....

My question is,.....

Is a blaster a project for a beginner or is it to complicated to be the first rebuild to try????

A blaster would be a great quad to be introduced on in my opinion. Parts and advice are abundant and they are overall a pretty simple design. Not much of anything electronic to screw with either.

Thumbs up

I say go for it get a manuel, get the bike and have fun. 2 strokes are simpler and have less parts than a 4 stroke.

sounds good most likely just needs top end redone and a little TLC, deff get a manual and read it over and use the forums to gather in some info, the blasters are easy to fix easy to ride with cheap parts.

definately. a blaster is an awesome starter project. very simple two stroke air cooled engine with go kart type brake setup. and once you get it going good then there are a million aftermarket parts to make the quad "grow" with your riding style.
