Hey Chevy, I was in your boat to man, im 5`8 and im used to riding the Work bikes myself. I want my own quad to and stuff so i also thought, hmmmm, a race bike? Why not ya know, but also think of it this way. Race bikes are nice but loud as heck and can be to fast if not carefull, They are for one thing, going fast and thats it, handle great but thats it. You get a work bike and you can do ten times more with it then just ride at high speeds. A 4x4 is more fun, im looking into a 550 FI EPS myself cause its half work and hardcore play, i like mud myself and itll do all that and so much more while having a blast all in one shot! Look into it man.

i have a 660 and it does better than most would think as long as the mud isn't rutted up really bad.

big thing though if u ride the raptor in mud u need the right tires to do some mudding, i found best all around for a race machine in mud is 22" mud machines, they hook up great in almost every condition and i can usually pull a wheelie crossing a mud whole cause of the tires and also look at a 22" front tire so ur frame is a little higher off the ground trust me it helps.

trust if u run holeshots or razers they really don't work with mud

hope it helps
