There is spark but no ignition. That's weird, I'm no mechanic but it might be a fuel delivery problem.

Hey Mster no luck yet I am yet to get a fly wheel but I am at a loss to what is wrong with the #$*%@!? thing I am getting to the stage where I cant be bothered with it yesterday it stopped and wouldnt start then it started and wouldnt run so I think it may have to go into the shop damn it all what about you any luck?? your problem sounds similar to mine!! oh well good luck. Thast post has got me thinking maybe it is a fuel problem and not an electrical problem I just dont know..

Check to see if you are getting spark when you try to start using the starter motor.
If not then you have an electricl malfunction somewhere, there are several relays with different functions that could be the culprit.
If it starts and runs with the pull rope then it shouldn't be the mag. or fuel related.
I looked in my service manual for my 2000 BB and it wasn't much help.
All the above is just common sense.
