I dont know about that 125 and 250f. The last i heard the 250 was dominating the 125 class.
HOw do you know that the suspension is so much better. They said that they were working on what setup tyo use last I here. Ther bike sounds just too good to be true though.
The price will not be a big deal to people if it performs well.
But I believe the Raptor will prevaile and remain the KING!!

Actually the 300ex outweighs it's big brother by 3lbs. 300ex=377 dry weight 400ex=374 dry weight. But I still get your point on the cannondale being lighter than most of it's competitors. It should be a nice machine, just to expensive to me. Plus, I would never buy a first year quad. Too many bugs to work out. I'm just waiting for honda to finally come out with a bigger 4 stroke with reverse. Then I will wait a year or two and buy it!

300exster, both the honda CR and XR650 have aluminium frames, and it is common knowledge they work great and frame failures are less common than with steel.Don't fault the Cannondale for one of its best characteristics, fault it for its unreliable motor. The Cannondale bike has been run inside and out and has proven to be very unreliable, I can cite specifics if you would like.In the dirt bike world the motor is also underpowered with the shortest powerband, but in the ATV world it may prove to be competeitive with the other 4strokes,however a 250R will still smoke it in power to weight and the race track. You want to label something the "king" then the 250R is on the throne.

what kind of warentee does it come with?? it should be a long one for that amount of $$$$. i think its so expensive because the company has to pay for all the R&D and manufacturing cost to produce it. i wonder what kind of dealer support these things have?? dont Cannondale dealers usually fix mountian bikes?? big difference from a EFI quad.

the motocross bike can't make it thru a race, the last i heard,it locked up and quit.as for aluminum frames and racing my 2000 cr 125 does well at the race track, but i am assuming you mean on a quad, the reports on the motocross bike say the electric starter is sweet but when the bike gets hot it is hard to start, the thing surges and popped in the pits and later locked up, i think it still uses the arvin shocks on the quad, how many of you guys ride on arvins? the first picture of the quads had ohlins, the motocross bikes have ohlins front and rear, but you never know i might have to go get one, and check it out, ever one i hear from says it is going to be bad, and i appreciate them spending an extra year working out the bugs, but i guess we will see, doug gust or tim farr ,one of the two, said it is a long way from being race ready, in a recent magazine

I applaud them!! They are stepping to the plate. Suzuki is batting in September w/ their 450cc sport quad. So team green needs to wake up and so that means more choices for all of US!! Don't complain, it's the best times for all of us since 86 when you had a choice. Competiton makes them work for our business.

I just thought that alum would start to fatigue over time. Thus causing cracks or wear ont he frame itself. We will see over time. I just went to that cannondale web page listed, and man that thing sounds really nice. But like OnlyRideRed said, i dont think i'd want to be the first person to buy this quad, i mean every manufacture has its downfalls in a first year
production quad. I just wonder how the Cannondales engin is going to be and if its been on any other Dirt bike before and what the reliablity of this thing will be? Anyone know?
SykoQuadRider, the 250f is dominating in the open moto tracks, but when the track is all jumps, or they get into a supercross stadium the 2 stokes will always rule becuase of weight and powerbands. I dont know call me stupid if you want, but i'm just voicing my opinion on the subject, my opinion is not anymore important then any of yours..
No matter what every machine will shine somewhere

Have you seen the aluminum smoke colored cannondale? It looks pretty cool. Check it out here:

There is a chart of the power to weight ratio on the page comparing it to the other high performance quads.

I agree with sandgod, this is good! As for it being race ready, of course it's not. The pro's quads run from 15 thousand and up. But god forbid they should make a "race ready" Of course you would all like that, but then you would complain about the price.
