Actually the radiator is in the right place, down low. You want that water weight low so the center of gravity remains low.
It could probably use more protection though if you are racing or riding behind others that are throwing a significant amount of roost.

It'll be interesting to see the FX race the stock class against all the 400EX's, Raptors, Banshees, 250R's(if their are any stock 250R's anymore ), with there pathetic stock front suspension. I think when the going gets rough, it will be a simple case of CYA!!! at the finish line
Provided all the riders are somewhat equal riding ability. Cause rider skill is still what cuts the mustard so to speak.

Personally on the trail I would try to fix the problem not push. Cant fix fuel injection out on a trail. I wouldn't want to try to fix it in the garage. That seems to be what they (cannondale ) wants for hard working people to have to pay a dealer to do repairs and maintain there machines. No???

A stock 250R..HAH!! I think I've seen maybe one of them in the last year! I'm wondering how the FX will be embraced in the racing world. I can't see Keith Johnson using an MX400 again next year! I haven't seen many Raptors racing either. Of course, most racers I've seen use 250Rs, thus the lack of the stock ones, I suppose.
