I tend to run my 92 timberwolf flat out so I knew this day was coming at some point. The other day while out on a trail I was doing maybe 20 mph when got a rattle all of a sudden i was able to throttle for a a couple of seconds then it had stalled out. It does crank over and has compression so i know i didnt blow the piston rod but I was wondering if this possibly sounded like the timing chain at all. Oh and while turning the engine over there is still a knock in the bottom end it sounds like. Thanks in advance for any help.
On a second note I was wondering if anyone knew if any of the other yamaha small engines would bolt right in like some of the 350s.

 

id say it was timing chian i had a kawi do the same thing as for engines that will fit not sure ...welll any will fit if you have time and efert
