My Dyno results..96 'shee
#1
Thought some of you might be interested in seeing this. I got my 96 'shee dyno'd yesterday. It had STOCK pipes with Toomey silencers, pro-flow with a K&N air filter, and a boost bottle. Thats all for motor mods. I pulled a MAX HP of 38.3, and MAX TQ of 30.0. I was pretty impressed for an almost stock 'shee. My friend had his 96 dyno'd too, which has full paul turner pipes and silencers, pro-flow with K&N, and a boost bottle. He pulled a MAX HO of 39.0, and MAX TQ of 28.3. He was disappointed to say the least. His quad is deffinately a little faster, but it didnt show much difference in the dyno. Any one else have any experince with dyno-ing their shees? Just wanted to get an idea of what everyone else is pushin at the wheels. Anyone ever dyno a stock 'shee? Here is my dyno plot...

I dont think they are a waste...the quad is DEFINATELY faster than mine. On the dyno, his does hold the power longer through the rpms, but it just doesnt have much PEAK HP.

Pipes dont really give you a whole lot of top end HP, they are usually designed to give you overrev and quicker smoother acceleration. They can also, depending upon design, make your powerband broader or narrower. I run my stock pipes against piped banshees and can keep up to them once I get going, its just that the first 4 gears I eat dust. After that they usually only stay a constant distance in front of me. I also find that I have to stay 1 gear above them due to the narrow powerband of the stock pipes.
