I picked up a 95 Kodiak 4x4 for a 2nd bike w/1700 orig miles. It's a one owner, good shape, original tires w/good tread and nothing bent/busted, (at the moment). It has a Warn 2000 winch and removeable gun rack and gun scabbord w/case. I paid little over 2 grand for it and it runs good. Only thing I've noticed was one rubber center wheel cap missing and probably needs rear brakes. Front brakes could use tightening. It's a little more quad than what I wanted for a 2nd but couldn't pass it up. The 2000 Kodiak has earned it's keep thus far at 1000 miles and it seems I've heard good things about it's contemporary. Anything to look out for or any comments on this bike?? Any info. appreciated.

2000 Kodiak 4x4 beige\ 2000 Warn winch \Escavators \alum rear skid\ Koplin gun boot in gun season.

Has that quad ever been to Ohio? I found one of those plastic wheel centers in the woods a few rides ago. If I can locate it, it's yours.

I don't think so but he hunted with it a lot. It drug out 2 elk, a bear and 8 whitetail. He had nothing but good things to say about it. He traded on a used 2000 foreman 450 which is a fairly comparable bike, just newer and cleaner. Appreciate it...

JHAM, when you go to replace that center rubber cap make sure you remove the wheel first. This will allow you to see from the back side of the wheel when the rubber cap has properly seated. Hope you love the machine!

The 00 is faster by far but the 95 is a solid quad. The 95 has a lighted speedo and gold rims, why they didn't incorporate the nice speedo to the 00's is beyond me. The 95 probably goes about 45-50 but I haven't checked for sure. We took it on a long ride and it did great in the mud and on hills, one was a nasty hill too. I put some gasket seal on the center caps and that seems to working. Only thing on the 95, you have to take the shifter off to change oil filter and also change the high/low gear oil which shares motor oil. Actually, the brakes just needed adjusting and still have half the life. The rear drum design doesn't look that great.
