There was a little raptor 250 and a 300ex down at the drag strip today. But every race the 300ex would pull a length in front of the rappy. That supposed to be right?

Both were bone stock the 300 ex had a pair of itp holeshots halfway warned but still tread..

The rappy had some maxxis.


I heard raptor 250's are supposed to be a replacement for the blasters. but im pretty sure the blaster is faster then the 300ex. Just a question. thanks guys.

 

must have been a bad rider because the raptor 250 i think has more power and less wieght?

 

thats what i thought, and they had a little more top end. Rappy's rider was a little bigger. that may be it.

 

the rappy 250 is the replacment for the blaster. and was proven to be faster then the blaster. and since the blaster does outrun the 300ex then yes somethings wrong. bad rider or somebody was lying about their atv being stock.

 

well the wouldnt they be in different classes? trx 250 = rappy 250 right?? i've raced rappys with my trx 250 and have won...but the 350 smoke me lol

 

Power to weight ratios are almost identical on those two machines if both were unmodified. So it sounds to me like it came down to rider weight and rider skill.

 

the raptor was not proven faster than the blaster. in the dirtwheels runs, the blaster took it by 2 - 3 lengths, the raptor was just better for the track

 

yea as far as i know the 250 rappy fell behind a little bit in a drag vs the blaster since the blaster is a 2 stroke and not much smaller of an engine that zips off a little quicker then the rappy but on a track the rappy dominates the blaster, basically everywhere but a straightline, imo the rappy should take a 300ex, but idno that would be a close race.
