Default White smoke after valve adjustment

I adjusted the valves on my 05 Yamaha Kodiak 450. I took it to Colorado for my vacation. Most if not all the days started with my quad smoking in the morning. It was white smoke and seemed to be worst when started riding in the morning. I saw what it looked like at least one of the days in a video and it put out a pretty good cloud. It seemed to go away after a short amount of time each day. Have I messed up my valve adjustment or is this something else? I also adjusted my Wife's and I think it smoked as well but not as much as mine.

White smoke is generaly water burn, if it was greyish blue it could have been oil. I would recheck my valve lash and see if it's in specs. It may have been somthing as dumb as higher elevation and getting alot of condension in the pipe or or something.

It was a pretty good cloud and smelled of burning oil. It sat for a couple days after getting back and no cloud. I don't know.
