I parked my wheeler one day and it was fine. A couple weeks later I went to start it up and it wouldn't start without pushing the throttle. Yes this is a fuel injected quad. When I get it started it will only run while I am giving it some throttle. I rode it around my yard a bit to see if it was something like water in the gas. I have checked and changed the plug, and put some fuel stabilizer in it. No change. By lookin at the plug and the smoke coming out of the tail pipe it is getting way to much gas. A friend said it may be a heat sensor. PLEASE HELP!!! Don't have the money to take i to the shop.

 

Heat sensor? I don't even know what that is...... I know they have a throttle position sensor, and a coolant-temp sensor, and an air intake temp sensor......

The problem with electronics, is that unless you have the diagnostic equipment you are SOL. Because all you are going to be doing is guessing until you get it right....

If I had to guess I'd say the TPS could be to bame, but that would be a guess. I'm not sure the AIS or coolant-temp sensor would cause that. But a TPS or bad ECM could.....

Your local shop should not charge too much to plug into it and give you a diagnosis.
