Default Checking the oil level on a 98 Grizzly 600?

I know sounds dumb but how do I check the oil level and if low what kind of oil should I use?

Open your owners manual and see how to do it and see what it recomends for oil.
If you don't have one, get one. Yes, it is that important!!!

It has a lot of information you need other than oil info like maintenance schedules, safety info and other very good info about your quad.

If I had an owners manual, I would not have to ask. I know I'm going to have to get one sooner or later. But for right now If anyone knows the answer that would be great. thx

My 450 manual read to not screw it in to check the oil.
I only use Yamaha oil that I buy from the local dealer.
