The only time at silver lake my banshee got beat by a 450 was if it had something really done to the motor.. usually an ice-cube motor( which only had me by about 5 till the end when he pulled away slowly)
these were probabaly 600-800 ft races though
it was just a stock ported, stock stroke, .060 over banshee with t-4's, no lid, milled head and lightened flywheel.

The Banshees motor could of been wore out too. Which is easy to do on any high rever, Not broken mind you, they just need to be freshened up now and then, Most of the ones I ever saw got rode pretty hard, always. They always sounded best at full throttle. lol

Haha If my Banshee ever loses to a warrior with a warrior motor Ill trade it for 2 or 3 warriors! Haha my friend Dennis's girl rides a piped up warrior we all ride banshees 250RS and 450s

i guess every one of you are the nothority on warriors to know that they loose to every single quad in a race, heck they must be the slowest quad on the planet! why would yamaha even sell them in that case. I know what i've got, I know how fast it is, and I'm down for racing anyone, reguardless if I win or lose, but I'm not about to continue arguing with someone else on a keyboard about how fast or slow MY warrior is.

The way I race is straight line I'm sure a warrior is a good woods machine but I really don't see you guys making enough power to out run me that's why I ride a banshee,is my banshee a practical great handling quad? Obviously not but it sure is a missle and even though a warrior will hook up better I can't see it burning me.

Sure, I'll be at Elk Creek Dragway on May 21 for the ATV points dragrace (www.elkcreekdragway.com).My YFZ only has a slip-on pipe, airfilter and Dyna Ignition so it should be a good race against a highly modified Warrior.
