Default 09 Griz price in NY question

So I am looking to pick up an 09 Grizzly 700 eps. On Saturday I went to Cyclemotion in Middletown NY and spoke with the sales guy (who has been there for 10+ yrs). He quoted me and OTD price of 8800 (taxes and reg included) with the winch installed. He also told me that due to the uncertainty of the economy, Yamaha didn't make as many 2010 models this year and that dealers weren't going to be carrying as many as in past years (plus he didn't know of any huge differences between the 09 & 2010).
Today I called Moroney's in Newburgh NY (I live about 25 minutes away from either dealership) and spoke with a sales guy there (Jim) who quoted me 8359 OTD with the winch installed.
Both dealers have one left on the floor...both green.

What do you guys think? Good prices? I have been seeing claims of people getting them for 7500.

Thanks in advance!

do not bother with either of them! do yourself a favor and take the drive to troy city garage in troy, ny. best pricing of new machines around. good luck! here is their website with pricing http://troycitygarage.com/atvs.htm many of my family members have bought new machines there, including my father's grizzly. great people, best prices

Just do your reserch and go with the best price but remeber that wherever you buy sometime its not only the price of the bike that matters its the service!

Service is my primary concern. I would be willing to pay a few dollars extra for the assurance that if something went wrong I would be in good hands.

I had a few issues years ago at CycleMotion but have heard nothing but good things since.
While I have never used Moroneys I haven't heard any good about them. I know when I have visited their showroom it feels as though if you don't have a Harley they aren't that interested in talking to you (or maybe it was just me).

personally, i'd go for the cheaper machine. as long as you do your regular maintenance and assuming there is nothing major wrong with the machine, yamahas are pretty reliable. you can always take it to a local shop for repair if needed. i bought my first 2 yamahas from sager's cycle in monticello. had good luck with them too, although they may be too far for you. and you're not the only one who has felt that way about moroney's. that is the last place i'd ever go for anything. either way, good luck! and keep us updated

Spoke with Sagers (in Monticello) this morning and he quoted me 8600 with the plow. This one is black which I like better than the green but whatever.
He said that there were a few price increases over the past yr so the one that Moroneys has may be an early 2009 that they are trying to get rid of.

Default $6800 in wi

I bought a 09 Grizz 700 EPS in black in may for $6800+400 for setup and frieght. Put the 27" Mudlite XTRs with 12" ss 106's plus winch and mounting plate and everything installed for another $1000. All together plus tax and registeration the total came to $8600. I thought that was a good deal.
