Default 2000 Big Bear 400 questions

I just purchased a used Big Bear 400 and have a couple quick questions as I have never needed a atv until I moved to where I am now.

1. Are there any specific issues with this model that I need to be aware of?

2. The place I hunt is flooded timber and there are two unavoidable spots where the mud is up to your seat. These spots are only about four feet long so I manage to make it through (sometimes by my buddy pushing) but needless to say concerned about maintenance. What do I need to do if anything maintenance wise to make sure it stays in good shape.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

i have a 05 BB and well if you going to be going deep i would recommend snorkeling it i run in water alot in Florida and it does great once you relocate every thing higher this will help not getting water in to the axels i have never really had water in them except when i fliped mine in to a water canal. other than that go with bigger tires mine had 25'' exicutioners and honestly it slower it down bc its such a small tire. the BB is geared so low that it can handle a fair amount of rubber on it.

Thanks for the reply. I put larger mudzillas on it and it is handling it much better now. It was previously snorkeled so it shouldnt be to difficult to do this. I am running into an issue now with MPEM 20 a fuse blowing when I turn the key on which says there is a short. I am about to ask this on the forum so if you know anything about this let me know. Thanks for the reply
