I have just purchased a Raptor. When I got it home I noticed the max load was 220lb. I am a big guy 6' about 240lb besides me losing 20lb. Is this going to hurt the Raptor or can I buy somthing to boost the max wt.?? And am I the only one with this problem.

I think that's a disclaimer or something. I noticed that too and I weigh 235. I wouldn't take it took heart. You might wanna stiffen the shocks a little.

I've got a buddy who is 6'10" / 375# who bought a raptor. While he hasn't been pulling big air, he hasn't broken anything yet.

He makes it look like it's a little 80cc.

And yes, he has very little suspension left once on it :>

nah it probably wont hurt. I had a LT80 for 3 years and was 30 lbs over the maximum all the time and never had one problem. I even had 2 other people on the quad with me once and nothing broke...

rpar,
Don't sweat it. I am 225-230lbs and beat the heck out of it. Good air, hard whoops, hill climbs, you name it. I've had my Raptor since mid Sept with no chassis probs. You will need to play around with suspension adjustments if you plan to ride it hard.

HeyMan I put out 250lbs and had no problems with my RAPTOR! Been jumpin it too and haven't broken anything! Just take care of it and you'll have no problems. Alot of meatheads I know would break anything no matter what it is! Just remember it is a new machine and there will be bugs and even more if you mess with it! later mongo

I weigh 330 lbs. No problems for me either.Works fine for cross country racing. Too soft for mx.
go up a couple of spring rates should fix that.
I run the biggest Eibach spring rate that I can on my YZ. I can hit all the big jumps.Clear the finish line table and hardly ever bottom it.
Don't be afraid. The only thing I tear up is clutches.HeHe

Looks like a lot of "big boned" people are buying the Raptor. 240 lbs. and nothing broken yet. I was 310 and now down to 240 the Raptor gets faster with every pound I lose. Big difference when it does not have to pull the extra pounds around.
