Hi, I'm new to this forum, and I own an 06 Kodiak 450. Im currently installing a winch a 2k# superwinch and would like some info on the key switch where you connect the wire from the winches rocker switch so the winch can only be operated with the key on, i.e there is three wires running from the rocker and the red one (i believe needs to go to the hot wire on the key switch). I was also wondering if there are free service manual downloads outhere....

Yes use the hot wire that comes on when the key is on. You can fins this out by simply using a test light!

 

On my '07 Grizzly 450 the hot keyed wire is the pink one that goes to the accessory 12v plug.
