i am going on tuesday night to look at a 1997 banshee. the bike has FMf pipes and silencers and was ported and polished. the guy that has it said he raced with it for one and a half years. he said it has some kind of fuel problem where it would start up and run for a little while then stall. anyone else have thie problem on their banshee? also, what else should i look for when i check out the bike.

thanks for the help
Mike

Check the swingarm bearings and the front a-arm bearings. To do this pick up the front and back off the ground and shake side to side and you should be able to tell. As for the fuel problem im not to shore but sounds like a carb problem. Did he convert it to one carb or is it still two. In my experiance with buying bikes with what seem to be minor problems can sometimes be very expensive. So just make sure your carefull.

that running and stalling my just be the TORS, but since they have already been in the engine dont bet on it being very reliable. I would not pay over $2800 even in good condition being that old.
