01 warrior idles very high or low and dies
01 warrior bought new. just exchanged my carb for an identical carb on ebay from a guy with a great feedback and the carbs looked great.. my stock one was sitting and gunked. now it runs great, just the idle is off.. just messing with the idle screw i can make it idle but it gets progressively higher then if i drop the idle screw it will come down then progressively bog and die. and gets really hard to start..rich right? maybe float is set high can you mess with that? i figure all jetting is stock? both stock carbs.. any rich lean screws? the ebay guy looks like he did this for a living but did he put something in set a little off?

i would take both carbs and compare everything...well you said exchange? so...you just have 1 carb now? well then i would clean it really good check and make sure gaskets are fine make sure accelerator pump is working good...take that crappy spring out beneath the accel pump rod and replace it with a spring from a little clicking pen...you can check float height if you want but usually people dont mess with that...you change the height with the tang its just a little piece of metal that the float valve hangs off of it, heres an online manual if you need one Index of /Service_Manuals
also try messing with the fuel screw its the other screw that is right under the bowl and is kinda hard to get to, i think the book calls for 2 1/4 turns out, just screw it all the way in then back it out and count 2 1/4 turns then try it and mess with it a little to see if that helps...
