I changed the oil in my 2007 Big Bear the other day and i'm not certain that I installed the oil filter in the right direction. Can someone please take a look at the attached picture and let me know if the direction is correct? I added the text to explain the direction I installed it.

 

Not that familiar with the Big Bear but every other quad that uses that filter tends to have the big hole towards the cap.

Thanks for the welcome. I dropped the old filter when I took the cap off so I had to make a guess. I'm nervous about running it until I can confirm the direction.

 

Looks like the small hole towards motor.

 

I had a big bear, I should know but I dont remember. Check in your owners manual maybe it will say in there or I would buy a repair manual, that should tell you.
