Ive got an 88 and the lower arms are different, the balljoint is attached to the arm and are not interchangeable.. so if you bust a ball joint you gotta replace the whole arm.. luckily i found on off ebay after getting shipped a few wrong arms from people that didnt know what they were selling.

i bought mine for 400 and have 300 in it. i have replaced piston and rings all the gaskets, front upper and lower and arm bushings and bearings, starter clutch, carb rebuild, front brake pads, rear tires, and the right lower arm...

i now need rollers for the chain because it keeps jumping off... project bike fore sure, they are true Warriors or atleast mine is..

do any of you guys know if there is alot of difference between the warrior and the raptor 350? cuz i wonder if nerf bars for a raptor 350 would fit a warrior just because the selection of nerf bars for warriors sucks. and how many teeth would i have to add to the sprokets to gear my warrior from a 22" tire to a 20" tire? does anybody know?

The front a-arms are different and the swingarm design changed in 1990. Try finding a set of new a-arms for a '87-89 Warrior, you know they will need to be replaced eventually because of the ball joint design. The 1990-up a-arms are plentiful but will not fit on the 87-89. Also the way the axle bearing carrier bolts to the swingarm SUCKS on the 87-89. I have never seen a 87-89 Warrior that the axle carrier bolts weren't stripped out on and somebody hadn't rigged it up already. You could switch it over to a 1990-up swingarm, carrier, and axle, but who wants to go through all of that drama? The only good thing I can think of about the 87-89 over the 1990-up was they had a pull start rope.

The frames are pretty much identical on the Raptor 350 and Warriors, so the Raptor 350 nerf bars should work. Go up to a 14 tooth front and keep the rear stock (38 I think) is good for 20" rear tires.

i actually think the rappy 350 nerfs might not fit a warrior...im not to sure though but i think rappy 350s foot pegs were slightly different, just get some AC nerfs.

I hope the do because it would suck to spend $200 on some nice nerfs for a raptor and have em not fit my warrior. I want a set of pro armor nerfs for it, and I didn't like the feel of ac nerfs they felt to wobbly. And thanks for the info on the sprocket I will definitely try that

Personally I would not buy it. Warriors are two stroke bike that will break down easily. The last thing you want when your in the trails alone is for your bike to break down. If you went to dunes with a group of people it would be a great bike. And another thing is that it is fairly old...even though it has had a lot of work done to it, the engine has had a lot of work on it and may be even more prone to break down.

Umm....The warrior is a 4 stroke! And it is a great bike. I have a 99 warrior that I paid $500 for and it is great. I also have a 2007 400ex and they both work very well in the trails.
