The gear shifter on my bear tracker refuses to shift into first gear from nuetral.It has no problem shifting down but will not shift up.If anyone knows why please help write back.

 

Could it be something as simple as a shotty linkage? Not sure how crazy the linkage setup is on your wheeler, or if there is any, but could be there's too much slop in it to get the tranny to shift.

Is the problem only from N to 1? Or is it in all up-shifts?
