I am a VERY PROUD owner of a Raptor, but I'm a little intrigued by the lower center of gravity on the Banshee. I have never ridden a Banshee, but I have spoken to several people that have ridden or own both and are torn between the two. If any of you with experience on both bikes could only PICK ONE, would you give up your Raptor of a Banshee???

Thanks,
Bart

I have friends that have both. Personally I would keep the Raptor. Much better all around bike. The Banshee however is faster and when that power band hits, hang on.. But i think that you would be disappointed having to mix the gas and not to mention, no reverse.

Get some TCS front shocks and flip the linkage around as stated in lowering raptor forum and you'll be as low as the banshee. Plus go 2inches on your axle and then ask yourself the same question and I bet you'll be able to answer your own question without hessitation.

After almost 6 months with both machines, the Raptor is up for sale. I'm keeping the Banshee, mostly because I ride exclusively on the sand dunes. The Raptor is very fast and fun, but I feel more comfortable riding the Banshee. The Raptor's electric start and reverse is nice, but I'm addicted to the sound and feel of the twin 2 stroke.

Give up the Raptor for a Banshee, probably not. Wish that I had both, YES!

I really, really, really miss the top end rush of the Banshee and the way I could slide it around corners and so forth. I felt more comfortable on it than on my Raptor for some reason.

Not to say that the Raptor isn't a better bike. I'm the problem with the Raptor. For woods riding, what we do the most, the Raptor with a skilled rider should absolutely smoke a Banshee. The problem is that I adapted to riding a 2-stroke first and it's a whole new ballgame with a big 4-stroke.

The guy that I ride with most says that I was faster on the Banshee than I am on the Raptor. However, I haven't really had the chance to get too many really good rides out the Raptor yet, so I'm still adapting. He also felt that I was riding the Banshee to it's limits whereas I'm barely tapping into what the Raptor has.

Am I making any sense so far? Anyway, after a long ride, I used to be wore out from riding the Banshee, but with the Raptor, I'm hardly tired at all. Also, as mentioned, it's nice to have electric start, reverse and no gas mixing.

I've came very close to selling or trading my Raptor, but as time goes by, I feel more and more comfortable on it. I'm hoping that by lowering it a couple of inches, I'll have that familiar feel and will be able to ride just as hard or harder than before.

Anybody else going through this same delima?

I rode the 2001 banshee and it felt like it handled like crap to me. Its such a bulky ride. Aside from the engine the thing just feels real outdated in my opinion. The Raptor is pretty hard to beat...die hard two stroke guys are going to swear by their banshees though...

The Raptor is a really great FUN bike to ride.....The Banshee hits hard and that rush is the only thing that makes it so awesome to evryone. Take that away and its nothing to write home about. My raptor is faster then the Banshee but it dosn't feel like it cause its a 4 stroke..but the truth is that i am hooking up rather then shredding...once the Banshee is pinned thats it...the Raptor can pull till the sunsets

I dont have a Raptor but i have a banshee. I dont think i could ever have another quad. I mean the first time i rode a banshee, it made me cry cause it was so damn fast. It wasnt even mine, was a frineds that had two quads (also had a warrior) so i would always ride it and wouldnt let him cause i feel in love with it. well to make a long story short i know own that very banshee and have completly rebuilt it.

im now used to the handling on the raptor and im not ever worried of tippin.i recently raced my friend on his banshee with pro circuit pipes and i took him off the line all the way till mid six gear.he barely started to pull away at the end.i think its pretty awseome for being stock.WAIT TILL I GET PIPES!!ID STAY WITH THE RAPTOR
