01 warrior sputtering
Question-have 01 warrior that sputters out the top end of every gear.Runs great thru rpm range til it gets to the top,stator 2 years old,new ricky stator cdi,coil is new,plug looks good,cleaned kill switch on handle bar,ignition key seems ok just breaks down top end of each gear.Any thoughts? Thx,goin to dunes want to get fixed this problem just reared its ugly head recently.

When it starts to spudder imediatly shut the engine off and check the plug to see if it is rich or lean condition. Then start it up and then spray carb cleaner around the intake boot and carb. If the RPM increase you need a new boot or new gaskets for the carb.
I had a snowmobile that would cut out when it was reved up. I about had to ditch it in the mountians because when I was trying to get out of a DEEP valley the stupid thing would spudder and I could not make it out. When I got home I did the above mentioned and found I had small cracks in my intake boots but by looking at it I could not see them. What it did was cause me to go lean and spudder when I was on it in the higher RPMS. Not saying this is the problem but could be. Good luck!

Sim and Beastly no leaks between carb/intake runner/head,plug looks good,no lean/rich condition-nice tan color started w/160 jet went to 170 now have 180 just a little history bout the motor

fuel delivery seems ok,leaning towards something ignition wise breaking down under heavy load?! just baffled this just started doing this any more thoughts would be great appreciate the input!!
