How long should it take to install an axle on a Raptor?
#11
Ok. So I decided to install the axle myself with the good advise in this thread...
Took me about 1 1/2 hours for the entire process with what little tool set I had. The sprocket and brake rotor stayed in place while the old axle slide out as mentioned. It actullay took me about 30 minutes to take off that darn C-ring that came with the Posi-Lock lock nut on the X-33. After that it was clear sailing... :-)
The back wheel width is now a little over 49 inches. Looks and feels awesome!!! The only drawback is my trailer is only 48 inches wide :-(. I guess I will have to adjust one side before I loaded it up. I had a feeling this would happen, that's why I bought the adjustable X-33.
Thanks again to all who contributed to my little project!!!!!
