Rolled my qaud in water.
I have ridden my Kodiak 450 (2005) into very deep water past the seat and headlights and never had trouble. I wanted to show my son how we ride the trails instead of letting him putts up and down the driveway, so I let him take it into the ditches, which were full of water, he was doing great but then he got nervous because he was getting pretty wet and he tried to ride out and did the no no, he rolled it completely over into the water. I was near him so I quickly turned it upright, pushed it home, changed the oil and pulled the spark plug. The air box was full of water also so i replaced the filter and dried it out real good. I cranked it over a few times without the spark plug in, to make sure we got all the water out and put it all back together. It starts right up idles great but it has no power. I tried to go up and down the driveway and I maxed out at 5mph then seemed like it was slipping! I don't know what to do! Please anyone, can you help me?

I would also check the Front and Rear Diff's to see if any water got in their via the vent tubes. It is a simply check - pull the side fill plug and dip a q-tip into the hole - if it comes out with oil on it then you are good. If it comes out milky - then you got some water in their.
Also if you would like - I have a copy of the Service manual for 03-06 Kodiak 450's (Also good for 07-10 Grizzly 450's EXCEPT for the Rear Differential / Rear Wet Brake)
