02 raptor 660r problems

Unhappy 02 raptor 660r problems

heres the deal i rode the quad all weekend no prob well i got off and i guess it was cooling down for maybe an hour or so got back on to ride and now it starts and idles fine but you cant rev it up it just pops really hard through the exhaust. is it a ground prob, carb prob? any ideas i need it fixed my the 29th so i can ride at t.c.r

First off Welcome to the forum! Second it sounds like a carb issue but you might want to check with the guys at http://moddedraptor.com for more info.

check the parking brake, i had that same type of problem on my raptor about a year ago and i had to disconnect the parking brake or move it around sorry i cant quite remember but it was somthing to do with that,good luck

yep thats what that sounds like, the parking brake sensor...or was it the reverse sensor wire? i cant remember which it is that always causes those probs on the raptors but check those wires out and see what you get.

thanks guys i messed with all those wires but no change. i am having the kill switch pull thing removed and carbs cleaned when i get it back i will check a lil deeper to c thanks for the tips if any other ideas let me know

Sound like it is a problem with the reverse rev limiter to me.
