Hi All,
So I was a bad owner last season and never paid much attention to my rear brakes - so when ripping apart my quad (Litterally) the past few weeks, I noticed my rear caliper rubber boots were shot! So I hopped onto my favorite online parts sites (yes plural) and low and behold Yamaha does not list them as s Seperate part to order!!! I even looked at older Kodiak 450's and 400's as they share the same calipers, nothing!! I was like
Seriously?
I even called 2 different Yamaha Stealerships -- I got the same response
Morons!
So being the smart person I am - I am like ok - for the most part Nissin is the company that makes Brake calipers for ATV's, Dirtbikes and others I am sure! So my initial look was to see if they Honda listed them out seperately, as I used to own a 1990 XR250 Dirtbike back in the day... sure enough they did list them - and those boots probably would have worked. So I called a Honda / Yamaha stlealership and asked the parts Dood, he was like sure we can get them for the Honda, but he wouldn't gaurentee they'd fit and If I did order them and they didn't fit, they wouldn't take them back --
So one day for kicks I checked the parts fiche for a 2007 Grizzly 700. Guess what
Yamaha list a part # for the caliper boots and they "look" very similar on the parts fiche - so I ordered them - what the heck right? One was $3.63 the other $2.68
So the boots came in and guess what?
They Fit!
