Default How much is my 3 wheeler worth?

I got this Yamaha 3 wheeler from a friend last summer and I don't really have a lot of interest in it. It has been mostly sitting under a tent for the winter. I started it today and it started on the third pull. It seems to run and ride great but I am no expert. It shifts OK but either doesn't have reverse or it doesn't work. The engine area has a little rust but is mostly just dirty. I want to sell it but have no idea what ATVs are worth. Does someone have a clue what I can sell this for?

Unfortunetly they're not worth much. IMO. I see 3 wheelers for sale on a daily basis on craigslist for any where from $500-$1500 $1500 being an exceptionally good condition machine. There just is'nt a whole lot of demand for these machines anymore. Not to mention the qoute-unqoute saftey issues.(which I think is bull)

I would actually be happy with $500. I only paid $30 for it, so it's a pretty decent profit. I only expected it to be worth $200 at the most.

Man that thing brings back memories. I learned to ride one just like that. It was a yellow 225dx but same thing.

I rode one for years and years. If your careful you can have tons of fun on one. But, now that I have a kid I wouldn't even consider one over 4 or even 2 wheels. Regardless of over blown issue that was raised, the fact is that those things are extremely tippy.

What category on craigslist do you sell something like this under? I don't see a section for ATVs. Do I need a title or anything to go with it?

That would sell for 600 to 700 around here.

It doesn't have reverse. Great machine though. I had a 1983? Yellow one that had the motorcycle twist throttle on it.

In that kind of shape I would put it up for 800.00 and wait for a good counter offer.
