hauck sheave top end

Is your quad stock as far as the engine goes? With the factory sheave setup, the rev limiter will kill it around 53 or 54 if I remember correctly, but the quad doesn't have enough power to push it that fast. With the hauck sheave, it should bump the top end up to 61 (at least mine did), but still...it doesn't make enough power to push it that fast. I put the *** end of my quad up on jack stands before and after the sheave, and stock it would only spin the rear wheels at 54 like I said, but after the sheave...it would do 61....so it has the ability to go that fast now, but not enough power. Mine will do 56 with my big *** on it, but that was on a long straightaway with no head wind. I have a pipe, jets and K&N on mine...so it makes a few hp more than a stock machine, but still not enough to hit those higher speeds. If you tear into the motor and do some more work, you should be able to hit that 60+ mark, which the sheave allows you to get to.
Doing the sheave swap is like changing the gearing on a chain driven quad...it will allow the quad to hit higher speeds, but only if you have enough power to push it faster.

Here is a vid of mine doing a top speed run, it gets to 56...but it takes a while to get up there. With a few more ponies, it would gain a few more MPH.
