I own a warrior but my choice would be a 400ex unless you want reverse.
I've ridden my buddies 400 but I also enjoy my warrior. When I bought my warrior the 400ex wasn't on the market yet. If it was I would have bought a 400ex. They are faster but My reverse has gotten me out of problems alot easier then my buddies on his 400ex.

I have a 2000 Warrior right now. I had a 2000 Honda 400EX last summer. The 400EX felt lighter, nimbler, jumped a lot better and handled a lot better. It rode wheelies a lot better too due to the power and weight distribution. It had a lot more power. I hardly ever use reverse, you can pick the back end up really easy to swing it around if you really need to. I ride trails and gravel pits in Maine as well as some tracks that are privately owned in my area. I would get the 400EX, I plan to switch back myself this spring. I am considering a Banshee though, for that 2-stroke blast of power that I hear so much about. But between the Warrior and 400EX, 400EX in every case.

400ex will smoke a warrior, but the warrior, i think is an awesome trail bike. i had a 400ex and traded it for a banshee. the warrior is an awesome trail and woods bike, and it is built like a freegin tank. oh, ya, i also like the sound of a warrior better than the 400 ex, it has like a low pitched grunt sound that is neat. top speed of a 400ex is right around 65mph, the warrior is around 56-58 mph. there both great bikes.

Thanks for input guys it seems like 400ex would be better as a sport bike, I was wondering if it was worth the extra money for what you get and it seems to be which is cool, I too am looking at a banshee for sale but i heard from a few friends they break allot and arent cheap at all to repair, which has me weary of buying one, but again thanks for input.
