Any comments on which exhaust pipe for a wolverine? How much louder are the after-market pipes than the stock one?

I have a FmF megamax II pipe and it's great. It is tunable so that you can make it as loud or quiet as you like. I got it for about $200. Hope this helps.

I have the supertrapp and its sound awesome. It does have the removeable discs which if removed will make it less noisy, but your sacrificing horsepower, which is the reason for getting a performance pipe. I beleive they removed 3 discs on mine and knowone tells me its to loud, but they all love the sound.. Check out my site and you can see my Wolverine. Just got some new pics from yesturdays trip..

Hey Cibolotx...

I have a '00 Wolv. and have a K&N Power kit ready to be installed.Thinking about getting a MegaMax 2 for her also.I am also into doing some serious mudding and ride in the sands sometimes.
I was looking at buying the 589's AT/MT's which ever and am wondering how they perform in the mud and on hard pack or sand?. I am looking at getting the 25"ers all around.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Boom,

I just got the 589's (25-8-12 up front and 25-10-12 out back) last week and Sunday was the first day to try them and they were great. In the mud they pulled through everything. It was only in the really deep stuff that I could tell that there was a bit of power loss but I'm sure I can fix that some how. On the hard surface they were even better and with the whole setup finally done (the exhaust, filter, and Jet-kit) it rode great, and there didn't seem to be any power loss as apposed to stock. I have never ridden in sand and probably wont anytime soon so I am sorry I cant help you on that area. But all in all both myself and a friend of mine were very impressed. If I would have waited I would have gotten the M/T's because they are 6ply and supposed to be lighter but oh well. I think that is it hope this helps you but if not let me know and I will try and find out for you. Oh yeah with my setup I am running a 155 main and 10 disks on the FmF(with the ten disks it is loud as Heck).

Hey Cibolotx...

I betta ya that sounds sweeeeeet!!. Man, I can't wait!. Do you have any current pics with the Wolv. sporting the 589's?. I bet that looks killer too!!. Look's like I should really concentrate on working on some serious OT to obtain the MegaMax2 and 589's.

Boom,

Yeah it is a sweet looking atv now. I currently dont have any pic's of it. but in the near future plan on getting some and posting them somewhere. Even though I dont have a pic i have seen a 00' wolverine with the 589's at Highlifter in the readers wheelers section it looks sweet. Well good luck with the overtime.

Hey Slywolf75...

I love those pics of your dads MAX II. Those are cool with the top and everything.

Gotta questioned for you though... Check on your dad's Max and see if he has two fuel lines coming out of the gas tank up front. Also, do both lines go back to the carb or is one an air vent?.
Let me know when ya can, seems that there was some major gas leaking happening a week back out of one of the hoses all of a sudden.

Keep me posted.
