Blaster Question please help
#5
The same thing happens to me when I'm nowhere near 2nd. I know for a fact it is my clutch from all the tight trail woods riding. I'm putting in a new clutch next weekend, so everything should be fine. anyway, check your clutch.

My blaster used to do the same thing, it turns out the carb flange i think it is? [connects carb to cylinder] was cracked sucking in air, if not fixed it can seize your motor up in no time. a new one is $35 from your Yamaha dealer and its pretty easy to install, loosen the clamps that hold the carb in, take carb off or slide it out of the way, then unbolt the 4 bolts that hold the carb flange on.
