Yep...it may be time to add another quad to the family. I am tired of seeing my wife throw around the heavy Xplorer and maybe not getting as much "thrill" out of riding as she can. Therefore I want to get a new and sportier quad this summer.

I would like it to be fast, awesome looking ...and basically I want the Raptor.
O.K.--> I admit it, it is for me too a bit.

I know that my wife enjoyed riding an auto clutch honda last year and was wondering if there is a way to get rid of having to clutch on a Raptor? Some after-market devise so it would be more of an auto-clutch? It may sound silly...but if I want to get a Raptor she needs to be able to ride it too!

Thanks.

Keep this in mind...a Raptor is waaaaay easier to get rolling than a shee...and you don't have to use the clutch all the time...and you...ooops, SHE will get used to it.

Some people swear by this: use the clutch for first then all of the other gears just let off the gas and then shift without the clutch.....

Done it by accident before and nothing "bad" has happened... BUT, I like to use the clutch.

I dry shift like its my job. Did it on my old Blaster, did it when I had my 96 shee and I do it now on my Raptor, and have never had any clutch/tranny problems at all. Also, if you let out the clutch slow enough, you can start out in second gear on the Raptor without giving it any gas.

My wife rides red and is a very very good rider. She is intimidated by the Raptor power and taller feel. Rent a 400ex and let her try that before you just go buy the Raptor. Suzuki is comng out with a 450 sport quad in Sept!! That might be the best ticket!
