I always love that ATV, AT 485lbs it was the lightest 4x4 ever made even lighter than the old 250 4x4 that were made. My friend had one ,the only two complaints he had which were small, was it had full time 4wd and he wished the 1st gear was geared a little lower.
Read through these, the owners like them. Vehicle Reviews for 2003 Yamaha Wolverine 4x4 Its a 03 but the machine never changed.

I am still driving my 95 Wolverine I bought new in 95, if that tells you anything, solid quad, sporty ride, light weight, smaller frame so its easy for smaller riders to handle. She will have to shift the auto clutch, so if she likes gas and go, you will need to look for a belt drive. I would think it would be a great fit for her.

Dang, Mudslinger, you must have pipecleaners for arms, the Wolverine, for a full time 4wd, steered very nice for me, had no problems riding all day, my only complaint was on paved roads, it tends to dart with the front end pulling a bit. With the addition of the Warn 424 system to disconnect the front end, it made it even easier and sportier, putting more power to the rear end, and allowing sport quad like sliding in the corners. One thing I did add that seemed to really help was a steering damper, just a cheap one, but it smoothed out the bumps and jars from rugged trail and rock riding, makes it even easier on the arms and shoulders for all day riding fun.
Turns like a bus?? not even close, you must have had a rusty steering stem bearing or something else wrong to get a feeling like that.

I also have a 95 wolverine...I really like the gearing of it...the gears are pretty tall and you only really need about the first three gears for trail riding...one thing that I don't like is the full time 4-wheel drive...it turns like a freakin school bus!

Yes, Niv, I do have some photos somewhere, they used to be posted here, but when they changed the forum, you had to put everything back in, so now I have to find them to repost ! I have a nice one of it all set up in the sand at Silver Lake, fender flares and racks off for more "duneability". Ill try to get them back up.
I just looked, I do have pictures in the Photo Gallery, just search under 95wolv, and they will come up, take a look and let me know what you think !!

Turning Radius
I am not saying it turns like a school bus because of the difficulty of turning the hadlebars...i am talking turn radius...I have this quad and an 08 big bear which is much more of a utility quad than the wolverine and the big bear turns much tighter corners. I was not aware that the school bus comment was going to be taken as a problem turning the handlebars!
