I had an 05 660. As far as a race quad they're not, they are a decent trail bike though, there are better ones, but there are also worse ones. The 660's are a bit tipsy and the front end comes up real easy on them. They are loaded with torque so gearing down would be the last thing I would do with one.

The 660 is a great trail quad and with a few suspension mods they can become one of the most potent trail machines made. The first ting I would personally do is ditch the stock carb and put in a Edelbrock setup, allong with a good set of Maxxis Razr tires!

Yes, that will help it a bunch. I would also widen the front and for trails go with a set of extended a arms. I run spacers on mine but I don't trail ride it, only flat track and drags. I wouldn't recommend spacers for any other use.

If you are looking to get serious with this 660 I would check out Modded Raptor - For the rider that can't leave anything STOCK! for more info on some great setup for it!

Default my friend owns one

my friend owns one, and he have some issues with stability, gearing would be the last he'll do since its suspensions have stability issues.

Though I never tried it, since I'm afraid I'll stumble down.
