I have regular knobby tires on my 4x2 and this thing gets stuck in wet grass. I am exaggerating but am surprised how quickly it gets stuck in the mud. Since I am not in a position to purchase a new 4x4 (dreaming of Kodiak), I would like to improve the traction on my 4x2 and was interested in your opinion. The model in question is a 300cc Kawasaki Bayou so I have decent power to turn larger tires.

Which tire would you recommend and will it make a big difference?

thanks

i have a friend who has a bayou 300 2x4 . he has stock tires ,and he does get stuck quite often even with the differential locked. the bayous also are really low if ur gonna get mud tires think about a lift kit too. the tires i recommend are tri-claws, or vampires, 25'' or 26''

I have a 2x4 Big Bear 350 and put 26x10x12 Highlifter Outlaws on it and my big bear turns them fairly easy and i can hang with most 4x4's in tha mud. I would recommend the outlaws but if you dont like them then look at the Maxxis Mud Bugs.

I recently bought blackwaters for my blaster, havent got a chance to do any mudding with them cuz its all snow up here though I cannot wait! They really dig big time, today I went for a ride on the local snowmobile trail and looked behind me when I was riding (6th pinned) and the snow was flying like 20 feet long and about 8 feet or so in the air (seriously) which was pretty neat never been able to do that before... Anyways they have a killer bite and tear stuff up, Id recommend them to anybody, 2x4 or 4x4.. Only flaw is a little vibration when riding on tar but not that bad. I got the 20x12x8" w/.190 aluminum rims, the tread is almost an inch deep, very wide, about the same weight as the stock tires with steel OEM rims. I love em.. Here is a picture if you would like to see (un-mounted)

BUT, if you have the money go with the superswamper vampires!! Wow... Those suckers look like skidder tires!

hey, I'd recomend you get Dirt Devils. I have them on my 2000 Polaris Trailboss 325. They are really great. they are durable and have a great tread patern. They aren't nearly as expensive as some of the other brands mentioned and they do the job. Since putting these tires on the back of my Polaris and removing the Titan's I have noticed a great different. I am 15 and don't have a whole lot of cash to spend so cost is a big thing. these are great tires and even if i did have more money i would still buy 'em. You can find them in the Dennis Kirk mag. Their website is
