2000 warrior backfiring, dies on accelaration

2000 warrior backfiring, dies on accelaration
Hello everyone
i have let my 200 warrior set up for about 9mo. run great when i parked it, now it has an awful "cough" at idle, cuts off alot at idle and dies when accelerated on. any ideas, i have drained the gas tank and put new gas in, took the bowl off the carburetor, and reinstalled, but no further work, thanks
