Default bad gas

I would start by draining and changing the gas out to fresh stuff. Another suggestion would be to tear it down and clean the carb. If it has sat for a year, it needs this stuff done anyway.

I guess i would try new plug first, if plug is weak or foul it wouldnt fire outside of engine, ok if you have an new plug already then the kill switch on the left handlebar could have got corroded while sitting up i would slide switch 10 r 12 times to help clean contacts and make should the slide switch is lined backed up in center before trying again, i guess if you do that and still no spark then i would take an screwdriver handle an hit the cdi afew times, i know this is an little cheesy but most of times this method will jar the cdi into firing afew times but aint 100 percent but has worked 95 percent of the time for me if cdi is bad... I guess after this and still no spark get specs or manual and start checking components..... Let us know....PS Cdi is small black box most of time under tank or that area[approx 2x3 inches on this quad].
