Default mechanical help please!!

I have a kodiak 400 4x4 I think Its a mid to late 90s model, something broke in the rear end after a jump. I still had front wheel drive so when I was riding I could hear something clanking around back there, I dont think its the axle, what else could it be, any help would be awesome thanks.

I've heard around that some of the older, solid axle vehicles develop issues with the splines on the axles stripping from rusting out. Could be a possibility if you like to playing in the mud and water gets into the diff.

Default Check it over

Have you checked over the whole rear end just to make sure that you cant see anything visually wrong? I only ask b/c when we were at hatfield mccoy this summer my brother broke the swing arm on his kodiak 400...it would probably have a lot of play in the rear end if this was the case. Good luch chasing down your issue!
