Do you have to bolt the body skid plates through the frame? It seems like a bad idea if you do! I just cant figure out how else they would go on?!

No you don't. They have brackets built into them that attachs to your current frame braces, it's a very easy installation, I installed their skidplate on my Wolverine a few weeks ago...
