Default How to set timing on a 125 breeze 94 model

Ok if anyone could help. I am rebuilding my son's yamaha breeze 125 and I want to get the piston top dead center but how do I do this with no pull rope? I am guessing you have to take tthe belt drive cover off? and if so are there marks inside there that will show me tdc? if anyone has info or pics to help with this would be great thanks a head of time.

Take the side cover off, turn drive belt, take plug out and cover with your finger, turn engine over until you feel pressure build up...now your on the compression stroke...use long screwdriver to get it to the tdc. Got any other Q's hit me up.

im also stuck with timing issues on the breeze, i replaced the stator, i had simply drew a line as my timing lines but found out i had to change magneto also. is it a case of getting it to TDC then line up marks on magneto and flywheel casing?

is this a simple job? anyone? thanks

No I am rebuilding the head and putting in new rings. just not sure how to set the timing back I should have taken pictures lol but didnt think of that before tear down. My 200s three wheeler was always easy to put back and line up the marks but I just realized after i had tore it down that I didnt look at the bike to check where the timing marks where. now I am stuck lol. but still waiting on the atv shop to finish the head and for the rings to come in still so I have time just want to stay ahead of the game if that is possible.
