Default Coasting Question

This is a stupid question but im gonna ask it anyway. With the engine off and in neutral, is coasting down a long steep-ish trail going to damage a 2000 Kodiak 400 4x4 in any way?

As long as it's not in neutral I wouldn't think so but why would you want to

Stole this answer from the Grizzly forum.

They have been using these atvs up here for 20 years being pulled by dogteams for training. They never turn the machines on. All you need is brakes. Going down your hill would be a piece of cake and no danger or negative effects to the machine. Try hooking up 20 dogs on a rope and driving down steeper trails than your road with dogs who are ready to chase every frikken squirrel, rabbit or moose they see."
