Hey, i have a 03 raptor 660r. My husband was checking to see if the parking break works... which it doesnt. So he went to take the parking break off and it wont release. We can not figure out how to make it release. I can put the park break on and release it easly on my honda 450r but this one is not working the way mine does. You can roll the 4wheeler in "N" it will run as long as you dont push the gas... as soon as you push the gas it starts to sputter. It has put the motor in some sort of retard mode i guess. Please help!

If you don't have the manual, read it online at the Yamaha website. There are instructions on Park Brake usage. Also, with the Park Brake on, there's a Rev Limiter engaged.... It's called TORS on Yamaha's that have it. I think it's called a "throttle over ride sensor" or something like it. Gotta get that thing released and all will be well.
