I just want to put in my 2 cents, not trying to start a fight or anything, but as far as the oil injection system, they are pretty darn reliable, I have never seen one fail, or had any of my friends with them see a failure, my son rode a beat to hell 1988 LT80 that was oil injected, went years and onto several other owners with small kids and never failed. Snowmobiles are run hard as hell, and I almost never hear of an oil injection failing on them. If you keep the tank at least half full, or check it every few tanks of gas, you will be fine, and a quick check to see if any hoses are damaged or kinked will prevent oil starvation to the motor. Not pointing the finger at anyone, but I have a feeling a lot of the "failures" out there are the failure to keep the oil tank full. One guy forgets to fill his tank, blames the injector to cover it, and soon everyone is saying "I heard that oil injection is crap, this guy had his fail on a new machine"....again, not saying it doesnt happen, but all the years I've been riding, I have yet to actually meet someone who had theirs fail, a lot will go to premix solely based on the horror stories passed around. In the end, it is up to you, but the oil injector is a long time proven reliable system that has been around for decades. This is just based on my experience, not saying anyone is right or wrong, just giving you another viewpoint.

We aren't trying to say oil injection in and of itself is generally unreliable, just the oil injection system used on the blasters. I don't remember off hand what the specific problem is, but they are known for going bad on the blasters.

Check out the link in my signature. I have quite a few blaster vids. They are great quads! Remove the TORS, convert to running mixed fuel instead of oil injection. then just keep your air filter clean and your golden. Feel free to msg me on youtube with questions!

do y'all know where i can get a couple of pictures of a blaster 200cc (1991?) carburetor? i need to look at both sides. doing a PM on one and i'm needing to know about the different nozzles. the last person to mess with the carb did quite a number. i'm thinking it's missing hoses and other external parts. i tried to buy a manual locally, but the local that carries them is currently out of stock. my neighbor does have one ordered but will be here in 5 days. i'm trying to get done with this so he can ride this weekend. thanks to all........
