What type of web cam are they putting in? And what are they doing to your valves? Are they replacing springs, caps, and hardwelding the arms as well as the guides?

It would be interesting to see where the gain will be. I would not want much more at the bottom to mid but rather mid to top of the rpm range, as if I ever get there.

I still don't understand why they want to bore out the biggest displacement on the market. It seems that they could find big gains elsewhere much easier.

they aren't hardwelding anything, they said they'd do a "valve job" whatever that includes. I don't think their including valve springs. (he has a valve spring kit for $225 but he recommended I don't get it because he said it's harder on the rockers.

I powdercoated my frame BLACK 2 weeks ago, It looks really sweet. It wasn't all that hard. The hardet part was tapping all the wholes to get the powdercoat out of them. I also put on a Big Gun Exhaust and Pro-design filter kit, and K&N Jet Kit. Now, This thing screams. I'll post some pics of the frame Sunday.

DSeater,
Be sure to post the Results when You get your motor back from Trinity. I am not sure who I am going to send Mine to yet. I'm Just trying to collect all the info I can for Now.

Man if that raptor rocks I am going to be bent I just bought a mint all original 87 250r still has stock tires on it and they are like new and my raptor has dwindled down to practically stock again and its almost ready to sell. DS once you get yours back and we go riding and if that things is like it should of been from factory I'll be bent but glad for you. I still think I'm better off with a 2stroke thats what I've raced for years (bikes) but the raptor was nice and I liked it alot, who knows I may just keep them both and if yours kicks a$$ I'll get mine done. Cant wait keep me posted! ONe side note: ITS GOOD THAT SOMEONE COMPANIES STILL VALUE THERE CUSTOMERS AND PROVIDE GOOD SERVICE AND ANSWERS!

I bet 94 octane will work fine try it before you go adding octane booster or running 108 octane.

looks like a pain in the aZZ to adjust the exhaust valves with the motor on the frame, weekend project will be to strip the raptor to powdercoat the frame black! that way when I get the motor all together I can just adjust the valves on the work bench!

Fst is going as big as 721
Bike worx is even larger, unsure of exact #'s

What are you paying for labor? Is it included in the #'s you posted here? 329.-valve job and porting. Etc. Etc.

Adjusting the valves is really easy if the front plastic and fuel tank is removed.
