a week would be COOL! my dealer is saying mabey next month when my slide comes in.i have had the same problem with the cv carbs also.after modding my lid it just didnt seem to run good in the mid range.also the float heigh was set way to rich and i adjusted it to 13 mm.after that it didnt stumble when climbing steep hills but it would act like it ran out of gas on a long wide open run,so i split the differance between spec and what is was set at and it still kinda acted like it was not getting enough fuel on long runs.i talked to my dealer about the carbs and they said modding the air box can cause alot of problems with the cv style carbs,after doing it you may have to mess with air jets,ect.the sales man there has a sport bike ad he cut a big hole in his lid and it took them 16 hours of jetting to get the cv carbs to work after that.i think im going to order the keihin kit but might wait awhile.so if you can do the slide deal it would be great.p.s. thanks for all of the good qaulity info you have provided also.

 

i wouldnt ride it with one of the tabs missing.if the plastic retainer came out the little spring and washer could fall down through the hole in the slide and get sucked into the motor,then you have to buy all that to plus the washer could cause some damage to the motor.
