i had my 2001 banshee out warming it up and it sounded fine, after about 5 minutes it shut off. i went to kick it again and it wouldn't go on i kicked it about 5 more times then it locked up. anyone have any suggestions would be really helpful!! thank you!

its pretty stressful cause i was supposed to go to the lost trails in p.a tomorrow!

 

Hate to say this but everytime that happened to me the engine was blown up - could be just the topend or the crank bearings could have seized up. Usually if the crank bearings go out the pistons scar the cylinder walls, too, in my experiences. Never had a Banshee but I have owned plenty of 2 strokes and alot of my buddies have had Banshees. Probably need to pull the cylinders off to see what is going on. Good luck.

i just took mine apart and what happened is the circlip that holds one of the gears in place....came off and got jammed in the gears my pistons are still ok! i would drain the oil and coolant, then take off the right engine cover and check to see if anything in there is broken first!

 

just messed with the banshee a little tried putting some weight and moving it and it started kicking again!! it didnt go on but ill wait and see maybe its flooded!

 

Had on hydraulic once from debris sticking one of the carb floats.

 

Mine did the same if it is lock up how to get it off if it's the positions?
